Looking for 1W Blue (450nm) handheld laser

450 as far as i know dont exist in 1W or even close, those are low power modes only a bit over 100mW only or so.. if u want 1w buy a 445 laser and for sure dont buy from ebay its mostly crap and you never know what you get... I can recommend http://www.sflasers.us/ or www.laserbtb.com

I just bought one 450nm 1.6watt and it can burn through a cd case at 8 feet in about 30 seconds. 1 second from 1 foot.

no you have a 445 not a 450 its a small but a difference in the end both the beam and dot the 445 is multi mode and 450 is single mode. Those chinese sellers that list lasers on ebay are clueless, anyone buying those are buying their lies nothing else.

Actually the label on the laser is 450nm so that is better than just the site.

I bought a HL450-1000 from Laserbtb...on the last Group Buy... a wonderful laser IMHO. I prefer the color blue to green... Side by side with a HL532-300 it looks fantastic.

First laser is crap. Probably some piece of junk. I wouldn't trust the second either. The third I don't know but the company I've heard a little neg about. I could have the brand wrong, it was an eBay seller named Sci fi lasers.

Try this one. I just bought it and there is a review here on the forum and it's about 1.3 watt all though the diode is stamped with 1.6 watt.

So just for your knowledge and for others , I am the owner of Sci-Fi Lasers. Not the one from eBay you bought a laser from a long ago

A 450nm diode definitely does exist at 1W+, see this (Osram 1.6W PLTB450B) from DTR, he pushes this one to 2W!

445nm or 450nm I don't really mind actually :) I doubt that the difference would be noticeable unless put side-by-side. I could be wrong though

oh sorry I was repeating it I didn't know he was mistaken let me find another example

Hey Thejoker301, I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm the guy who sent you an e-mail a couple of weeks ago about a custom build (for about 50 euros). Listen, I'm interested in buying the 1W version of the SF501B Blue laser. However, I intend to buy it for Christmas, so will the offer expire by then? Thanks :)

488nm is beautful. I want a 20mw version.

Where did that come from? 488nm is definitely beautiful, but that's a whole different conversation.

@ mortuus - You may have been thinking of the 120mW 450nm Osram PL450B Diode, this is a much lower power single mode diode.
