Long lasting effects from laser strike (not the kind you think)

I can't see any good coming out of ISIL, but I do work on some the equipment which allows the missiles to be sent to their foreheads, so I am in the fight here.

Well, sort of. I reckon that you work on something like a guidance system that would work in many war scenarios, not speficially the battle against ISIS.

This would mean that you have no control over what it would be used for next, which could be another illegitimate war anywhere on the planet.

But working in the weapons industry does not make you in any war responsible for their actual use and the consequences. Politicians ultimately decide that on a large scale, and military when in comes to implementation.

Developing a more accurate targetting system could be good in the general sense though, if it somehow allows to hit hard targets better and avoid collateral damage.

The difference can be quite profound, an army lacking precision intelligence and targetting might resort to shelling an entire city block to the ground if it noticed hostile missiles coming from the area, whereas a precision weapon could take out the launch site with few or no civilian casualties.

The IDF is respected greatly for it's precision targetting, remaining professional even against an enemy that randomly attacks their soldiers with machetes, cars or butcher knives on the streets regularly.
