Links not working?

Every so often I stumble onto a link that appears to have the url of a thread

here in LPF but it just sends me to the LPF homepage ... is there a reason for

that or is it just me?

It's a really old link from before the forum was vBulletin (it was YaBB).

Or part of the URL was lost so it just sends you to the home page.

Speaking of LPF's inner workings, Any body else been getting 404's for a couple hours, a lot lately?
