Hello,

Just wanted to let you know we have two argon lasers for sale if anyone is looking for big argons. I thought I'd give you guys the heads up first before I eBay them.

The first is a Lexel XL-3000. The unit was working when pulled but there were complaints it was hard to start. The output is <10W and requires 220VAC 3-phase and a water source to run it. There is no controller box with the unit so you will have to jumper or build your own. Asking $800.00 and local pickup. The freight on these will be outrageous if you ship it.

The second unit is a Lexel Model-94. The unit does not appear to work. The power supply is missing the key switch and the power control knob although the wiring is still there and there is a current controller still installed. The laser head is in great shape. This one we are offering as a parts system but who knows you might be able to make it work. We aren't going to put the time in to find out. The output is 8W. This system is also a 220VAC 3-phase water cooled system. Asking $300.00 and local pickup.

For $1000 you can have both.

Both laser heads are very clean inside with no unusual burn marks or anything like that. These systems are not for those new to gas lasers. The units are sold as is and are considered non-compliant OEM components since they simply cannot be plugged in and begin lasing.

Here are photos of the XL-3000 since it is the working model.

We are in East Lansing, Michigan by the way if you want to know where they are located.

Just.... WOW!
That's a lot of power for very little money.
What are the wavelength(s), multiline, single line?

Too bad I'm on the wrong side of the pond...
And a total gas-laser noob on top of that.

Looks like our laser treasure hoarder daguin is going to make another score.

Nah. No real possibility for 3-phase 220V here. :(

Peace,
dave

They are both multi-line. We have to move them because our office is moving and don't really want to haul an additional 400 pounds with us.

You can fake 3-phase but you have to have some additional equipment to do it. Of course you have to use your electric dryer circuit, or your hot tub circuit or run a new line.

I have a lexel 83 which has a plug for 220VAC 3 phase but can run on a single 30A phase. Are these units the same thing?
I still have a spectra physics 2016 and 2017 waiting to be used, so I'm not interested :)
