Lasers on Cats?

Hey everyone,

So my friend was pointing to his cat the other day with an ebay laser pen green,and i was worried about the cat eyes. Do lasers affect cats eyes as much as ours?
If so, ill have a talk with him

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure cat's eyes are just as sensitive as ours, if not more so. I wouldn't be using any laser over 5mW with a cat, the one your friend was using seems to be a lot more powerful than that.

Yes, cats eyes are even more sensitive than ours. If the laser was under 5mW or so it'll be fine, but any more and I'd be worried.

Well, ebay ones, are usually 30-80mW as i learnt from my other posts
So I guess ill have a talk with him
