Caligvla said:Well, all and all not too bad of a report from the eye doc... My right retina has some scaring but should slowly heal over time. my left retina looks like its almost completely healed. My field of vision is fine and he said I should just throw my laser away...
I'll be using my goggles for any indoor lasering form now on ... that was too close of a call for me
thanks for all your kind words and support
I'm just glad I'm only slightly short-sighted, and will get that corrected when my eyes stop growing. (Lasik does things to you when you're still growing apparently) I've ordered my first laser (a DX True 30) along with some goggles. Yes I know they're not a must-have for a 30, but I will be moving on in the future and it's good to be prepared.

should be used. Obviously you shouldn't look into any laser that's powered on, but where do reflections off glass become dangerous as compared to more diffuse reflections? Is there any set of rules that can be followed?
