LaserPointerPro 50W spam! :-) Could it for a fraction of a second?

:wtf:
I now get Spam adds from them. Just in 50 W hand held gatling Laser.
Do they have no upper limit to their absurd claims?

If you drove a 1.4 Watt capable 445 nm LED with enough current-would it output 50W for some fraction of a second before failing? Resistance generates heat-so maybe they have a 1 kg copper heat sink with flowing liquid nitrogen for cooling?

Maybe it comes with a cable to power it with a car battery? Or Giant capacitors to release the pulse? I'm envisioning one of Styropro's pulse laser set ups feeding into the Gatling host...

Maybe a picosecond before it burst into
flames...:crackup::crackup::crackup:

Ah yes, Laser Pointer Pro.

Is there any camera available that could take a beam shot of that monster in one Picosecond? I wonder how long the warranty is on that thing? Maybe 1/2 a picosecond after switching on?

I recall browsing that site a couple years ago. I found this crazy "2 in 1" laser that actually had a built-in camcorder. it was the strangest thing. It has since been taken off though. :(

I'm going to contact them for a 50 W 589 nm. Most of the ones I've seen are less than 50 mW- but they obviously have access to future technology with supercooled heat sinks and superconducting wiring to reduce heating and allow the several amps needed- possibly even Fusion Core Batteries.

I'll bet they could sell me at least a 50,000 mW 589! Marked down from $5000 to $199! I'll bet they have 1000X beam expanders.
My review will contain videos of me popping black balloons at 1000 meters, and burning through 1 inch steel plates.
I wonder if I can send $19 dollars and tell them my cash is worth 10X?

Everything LPP posts is factually correct and true! Didn't you know that already?

Green Lasers Rock: I found a beam shot. It looks like it might be using a 495 nm diode.

You might see a 50W IR non coherent flash as it burst into flames if you put it across a carbon arc lamp supply. Might even make a green flash as the copper vaporizes.

Hi,
With these misleading adds I feel bad for the folks that aren't savvy to the hobby. This means getting ripped off .. 50W's wow are we missing something here at LPF ( NOT )

Rich:)

I have always hated that gatling host. It is tiny, the rods are hollow and the mass of aluminum is so small it can't really sink much heat at all. I used to look at these ads for a laugh, but any more it is just boring.

That might be worth it!

Yes- a 1Watt 445 that I got for $19 for NOT $299-but $199. Limited time offer!

For me they were a recent step up from 303's. :-). Replacing with SanWu Challenger 2's. MUCH nicer. So far- 1 Watt 520, and 150 mW 488-492.
Probably replace the 445 Gatling with a 462 Jet-or look into a forum builder!
