Hi

I have 200mw power rock from o-like.

I charged laser to full yesterday & tried it, all was ok.

Today i took laser out in snow & the laser was just a torch beam, it wouldn't focus at all, no matter how far i turned the head! Wouldn't narrow the beam at all.

I took head off & using point nose plyers i messed about with the focuser inside & i now can get more or less to infinity, but it still seems odd! What could have happened overnight?, could charging the laser have done this?

Thanks:thinking:

Post pictures of the laser, the focus adapter and everthing you can so we can see whats wrong. We cant do much with the minimal info you gave us. Once you do that, i bet you we can figure this out in a day or two.

Regardless of what the video shows, we still need to see what YOURS looks like. If you took the lens assembly out it could simply be in backwards.

Hi, no, i mean i had never touched inside the laser at all, only after i saw the issue!

Yesterday, all was ok, i charged it & was ok. I left overnight after charging, then went out & the focuser didn't work.

You should be turning the focus knob all the way in, not out, to focus it to infinity.

As far as charging the battery affecting the focus just seems to farfetched.

Sounds like you got some moisture inside the laser by taking it out into the snow. Stick it in a container with some rice for a couple days and see if it fixes it.

its not at infinity when screwed all the way in. Infinity is about 2 total turns away from totally screwed in.

Trouble is, is that i can't get infinity at all.
Will adjusting the inner brass screw that has the 2 small holes for plyers do the job!?

Did you check if the lensbarrel has become loose from the knob you are turning ?

What Blord said.

Unscrew the focus adapter completely, Take out the lens. Screw your lens to the focus adapter as tightly as u can. Put it back.

Exactly what I was going to say
