I use a fireproof file cabinet I bought at an auction years ago to store my lasers and li batteries, not that I've ever had any li cells burst into flames, but just in case.
Storing the batteries inside plastic storage boxes should be safe enough.I need to get an ammo box for my lithiums
The smaller a cardboard box or plastic container is, the better since it won't use a lot of space.I keep meaning to make a nice box for the lasers I have but it's one of those things I just never get around to. But for now I just store then in a plastic container, the ones that take batteries a bit more beefy than AA or AAA I keep our of the lasers in a separate smaller container, for the sake of battery longevity I try to store them at around half charge, long term storage at near full or near empty kills the battery much faster. Lithium Batteries can explode/burn, but it's almost always caused by overcharging, overheating or physical damage, they are quite safe if handled with just a little bit of care (otherwise they probably wouldn't be in everything electronic). The thing that is scary about lithium batteries is that IF they catch fire, they are nearly impossible to put out, not that they are very likely to catch fir, they aren't.
Glasses I keep in the same place as they are essentially always needed together.
