Hello. I know that a laser projector might be better for this but I find more satisfaction in building. I would like to build a multi diode laser show. I was thinking of using line lenses and servos to do a laser wave type deal and some other things. What effects could I produce and how? Im trying to get ideas. It could be as simple as line diffraction grating that moves via servo. Just something.

I got more ideas now. I just want like simple stuff. I've figured some cool effects out and have written my ideas out. Simple is fine. Or cheap shape making. I'm not looking to spell out words or anything. I'll post something when I'm done with a concept.

You want to make a spyro project. Double it up with a dichro. My first was lpc826+ phr805t

Not really.....I was looking at that project but seperately. The project at hand is a bunch of diffraction gratings, servos, fog machines, lasers. I've figured most of it out. Thanks though.

Spirograph are neat :)
Check out lumia projectors as well.

Building a laser projector is lots of fun though, and it's not that hard to do. Easy enough to do it cheaply now too.

Basic parts list:
-DTR's RGB diode pack
-12mm CNC rail mounts
-4ch analog driver
-3-4 brass flex mounts
-two dichros
-two mirrors
-cheap 10k scan set
-power supply
-Al base plate
-DIY DAC
-Free laserboy software.

Likely sub 300$ for a full RGB projector.

I was thinking 4 green modules physically attached to line diffraction gratings. Then those are attached to servos. Those all move out to in with fog and it looks sort is like a laser fly trap closing. Then a couple of lasers spinning rapidly out of control. How do you do some of those things?
