Laser protection goggles






Well, if you have not yet bought your actual 1.5 Watt beast, I suggest buying a set of goggles that come bundled with the laser of your choosing. This is obviously dependent on the site that you are buying from, but i dont think there is any site that sells ultra-powerful lasers without also selling goggles.

Alternativley, you can just go to Lazerer and pick up a set of goggles of your choosing. With shipping included, it shouldn't cost more than 40$.

And to answer your last auestion, while wearing goggles, you can power your laser from any distance - through goggle vision, even a 1.5 Watt beast will appear like a broken-down keychain pointer (5-10mW transmision through the goggles, depending on the exact model.
 
Oh, sh*t, i've only just noticed you gave a link to the actual goggles you wanted to buy...
Looking at them, they should go well with a laser of 445nM wavelength, since the goggles offer UV to Green protection, and the color blue (445nM wavelength) sits right inbetween the two in the visible light spectrum, ant thus, right in the goggles' area of protection.

Plus, if you want to buy your actual laser from Dragon Lasers as well, you could really save on shipping.
 
I assume you're linking those goggles because you're buying your laser from Dragon Lasers as well? If not, link us the laser that you are buying so we can tell you if it's of good quality or not. Those safety goggles are good although they're obviously not the best out there. No need to worry, they'll do the trick.
