Laser license?

if lasers are licensed, then the only ones who can legitimately possess one would be teachers, mechanics, scientists, parade organisers and engineers.
not sure what hobbyists can do with them.
but give it time, these lasers will require licenses and more regulations. government needs more fees and taxes for revenues.
then we'll a few lobbyists to fight for our rights.
a constant battle.
so let's hear it for more government regulations and taxes. and we elected the right potus.

Well, the answer may be to prosecute the heck out of the abusers, make public examples of them, and throw away the key. Well. That was tried, and failed. Another aircraft illumination, The AT&T fiber tech lost his job, and got 2 years probation after the dust settled. He was looking at 16 years. Did any of you hear about it? No, Why, it was not sexy or had enough spilled blood for the media. Oh, a few tech savvy media outlets picked it up.

A lobbyist is 2000$ a day, and it might take 30 days. Where is that money going to come from?

One Thai guy got himself shot in the head, during a pro democracy protest. He aimed a laser at armed troops. Does that count? RIP Thai pointer guy.

That guy wasn't killed by a laser. He was killed by human stupidity(mainly his own) I bet the same would happen if he was throwing firebombs at the armed tropps.

its called life, and it sucks!

this happens with everything. a couple bad things ruin it for the rest of us.

but i am 110% for making people get licenses. even for under 5mw lasers

While you are at it, how about making women require a license to have babies. I am sick and tired of all these welfare babies destroying the ozone layer.
