Laser enthusiast gathering....

I remember one of the first times I saw a laser beam was when I was in grade school and they had just opened this LaserTown place near my house. It's a kind of laser tag where you wear a laser-sensitive suite and hold a red-laser gun and shoot at people. It actually counted your shots and how many times you got hit. It had a 3 story maze and the coolest thing was that it was bright enough so you could see everything, but because the lasers were powerful and the place was pretty smoky and it was dark enough and you're staring down the barrel, you could see that laser... It took me a few turns before I realized the point was to win rather than enjoy this godsend lightsaber thingy! (not really, but you get the idea... it was COOL!) Funny enough we never had to wear goggles or anything and the maze was amazing. Full of bridges and towers and hiding spots and tunnels and everything. After you got shot enough times your laser would turn off automatically, and if you end up the last man standing then you'd get a free second turn. I got it once against a group of 50+ people! It was really exciting! I got a free leadlight for winning :P It later got lost during the second round... and I lost looking for it... :(

Back to the point... a gathering you say? Ya... I'm in central Florida. :)

Oh well...

wow, I must be the real redneck of the group then. Living in montana we are all gun totting, bomb mailing certified nut jobs here although very few laserists. lol

Ya'll can come up to my neck of the woods and bask in the "big sky" state. Great for shootin lasers into the sky without fear of hittin any arrant aircraft. and since the sky is soo big up here there's plenty of room for all those lasers!!!

Of COURSE it is ! I'll bet if he could stick it in a holster on his waist, he could carry it with him, too :-) And just think.....he's not even in Texas !

Flying aardvarks! 50 cals are legal there! Wow! What do you do with it? SenKat, do you have one too?

Naw - I do have an all aluminum cane I can whack someone with, though ! LOL

You should go to the UN's Desert Blast... They have B-51 bombers, 200+lb detonations of HE's, though usually ANNM or ANFO, and vulcan cannons/miniguns-- semi auto .50 cal's are like, mandatory!

One guy made a 1500 yard waterfall!!!! (firework, not water) That was like, the most amazing thing ever! Thats 4500 tubes... approx 7 minutes each, so about 50 12 hour days. Not to mention a TON of money.

One of the coolest things was 25lb's of ammonal (Think homemade tannerite, but more of a snap to the bang, (more power) and WAY WAY WAY cheaper) over 400 gallons of 1:1 diesel/gas!!!! The guys were almost 2 miles away and claimed to feel the heat at det, and later the heatwave.

They do this stuff ~40 miles outside LA. Its only 2 days long, but I want to go so bad...

So who is going to file the fda variance..... :)

I have a .50cal.. a couple of them if you count the blackpowders...

shoot them as often as I can. It's fun clearing out the gun range office with a nice boom/crack.
