Perhaps you should check out the "Buy/Sell/Trade" and the "Group Buys" boards so you know what your potential market is here.

Ahh I see what you ment now sorry I thought you were selling all that for £20, 200mW red included

Nah sorry LH, although from the looks of it you already have most of the components you need to make yourself a 200mW laser you have the 16x diode, the driver and the housing all you would need is an axiz module and a lens ;)

i am here to sell mate :D make a bit of money also i don't trust myself when making things!! lol

That doesn't stop others from learning, and making lasers. Heck, there are people here, who don't even know how to solder two wires to a driver, nor do they try to learn, and yet they sell lasers like pros!

One of them almost cost me an eye once, cos he thought it would be a good idea to put a mixture of cyanoacrylate and silicone glue on the diode.  :-?
Two days after trying to solder to that poor diode, releasing the toxic fumes into my lungs and my eyes, i woke up blind.

Good times...

Hey IgorT... I knew you had a problem with your eyes a little while ago...... :-?
Glad your eyesight got better.... ;)

But I wasn't aware of what caused it.... this is very interesting to know and should be
posted or stickied somewhere... to make aware and protect all the "experts" that build
lasers... IMHO...

That is ... if it's not already posted/stickied somewhere... 8-)

I wasn't aware of what caused it either. Cos my doctor blamed a virus i never had.. But a week ago, a painful procedure, done because the pills i was gulping for months did not bring the desired results, confirmed i never had that virus! (Altho the really fun part were the daily injections i had to get straight into my eye for the two weeks after the incident!)

It was then, that i put two and two together.. I remembered, that i was repairing those "lasers" just two days before waking up half blind! So i asked the doctor, if it could have been that.. He said he can't say for sure, but it's possible.

Now i REALLY wish i knew who made those two "lasers".. But the buyer, or should i say victim, didn't want to expose the "builder"...  >:(

But seriously. Who would put GLUE on (and under!) the diode?!? Why?!?! I'll try to re-repress it into my subconsciousness.

EDIT: Do we really need a sticky saying "Don't put glue all over (and under) diodes."?  :-?

EDIT EDIT: Or did you mean a sticky saying "Don't repair lasers made by others without wearing a hazard suit!"? ;D

Maybe. I've read more than once about how someone who doesn't trust their soldering skills using some sort of glue on the pins to help "secure" the solder.

Peace,
dave
