Laser blind? (Spiders!)

A high power blue will take them out. I got one with a 1.4W 445 the other day. He was fast, but I finally got him with a nice dot and he sizzled. I HATE spiders. Wearing the safety goggles helps with making the dot nice and tight as well as protecting your eyes.

BUT, a couple of warnings.

1. Spiders stink when they burn.
2. If they are above you, don't shoot them - they will drop on you.
3. Use a boot or magazine if possible, a laser isn't a great way to kill them unless they are in a spot you can't reach.
4. Don't burn your carpet or furniture and don't forget about any pets that are in the room and don't have googles.

That last one was in the shower and I had no clothes on and nothing close, except for my 1.5 w 445, so it fried! I just posted the last pics to see if anybody knew what kind of spider it was.

There has been a roach laying eggs in the bathroom at my work for 2 days now. its up too high to get. Used my 1.3W laser to fry all the eggs and get the nasty bug down.

Don't like roaches either, oops I mean cock roaches.
Got very many scorpions in Texas?

Im sure there are in some areas, but here in Garland i have never seen one. My fiance has been coming across a lot of wolf spiders here lately at her work. They are in shipping boxes and in between racks of cloths. Not a big deal to most, but she is REALLY allergic to insects, metal, MSG, and styro-foam. Yup i said metal... All her jewelry is gold or platinum, or high grade surgical steel. Heck she gets a mosquito bite and she gets a huge hive.

I used to live in Northern Nevada and we had a problem with scorpions and black widows. We have black widows here just not as big.

As for my part of texas -

i have seen more and more insects and arachnids of all varieties lately.

especially moths, and these evil beetle things mentioned earlier. I usually only see a scorpion around here once or twice a year tops. saw exactly 0 last year.

so far this year? at least 15 since that last strong rain we got.

this is in the Bexar / Comal county area

I shower everyday with no clothes, the laser just happened to be in the bathroom. Why you ask, because I had to go pee when I was using it and just happen to leave it on the counter, would you like a video of me taking a shower?

I used to find a lot of black widows and brown recluses where I used to live. (Visalia, CA) I am very happy I moved.

Re: Laser blind?

I found a spider in my shower and wondered if anybody has seen one of these, they are very aggressive and will bite a coat hanger. I know that from experience, this is the second one of these and they are quite big.
