I think you might be confusing this term with another. My Thai buddy liked to joke about ladyboys, so I eventually had him explain what exactly they were. Apparently it's the translation of a whole extra gender identity in Thailand which somewhat parallels the MTF trans in the west. Pretty commonly used term over there as well.

Anyway, welcome LadyBoy. I don't know that many Westerners call themselves ladyboys or if any are on this forum, but there are lots of nice people here.
