Lab module heatsink mount for 445 diode

I would like a recommendation for a lab-style heatsink that I can put around my 445 2W laser before attaching it to computer heatsink.

However, I am not sure it will fit my 2W 445

TO-18 is 5.6mm, so it will work with an M140.

Don't attach it to a computer heatsink. That's just silly. That lab heatsink + fan will be enough to cool the diode.

I assume this means I will need to remove my current diode from its copper housing and transplant everything to the new heatsink? I came into posession of this diode with the housing (same link from dtrlpf above) already installed. What should I watch out for when performing such transplant?

If you already have it in a copper module it's probably not a good idea to get that heatsink as you may have to modify parts to make it work.

Those have poor module contact. I wouldn't recommend it.

These are made to clamp onto 12mm rods, but also work great for 12mm modules.

If you want a lab-style heat sink then try one of these from Mrcrouse:

You could also add a fan behind it for longer run time.
