Key chain host mod....

Hi,
I modded a solar force key chain host This i definitely a single mode diode build for sure. Maybe a 520 or a 450nm would be in order. What do you guys think for this EDC Mini build. It will take 1-14500 cell ...

Ok here is a comparison of the size its really an EDC , Nice and small..
@ Dan,
the wall where the 12mm will set is about 3mm not much, with some arctic alumina and the 12mm module should get me at least some good run time despite the size.

Thanks like said it is very small DTR has some lower power Single mode ill be looking at.

Wow, that's little, Rich. I would think one of the 477nm or a 502nm would do great in this host. You'll have to use a high discharge battery with it as with the Nano Boost drivers the 477nm is pulling 1.1 amps at full charge. Don't remember the Vf for the 502nm ones, but it is 7.1 VDC with the blue diode. I still can't rep you again, but will get to you soon. :yh:

Yes absolutely So far my 505 & 480 diodes are fine in those small hosts with a single 14500 . So far so good my fingers crossed. the 480 has a X Boot at 278 and the 505 / nano at 275.

Those Solarforce keychain lights sure do make a cute little EDC laser, very nice Rich! :gj:

Up until very recently, who would have thought that we would be putting 505nm and 480nm diodes in keychain pointers. :thinking:

Yes they are perfect for short duty and compact. a 505 would be nice , these are a pain to disassemble but the first one was the sacrifice and now i know whats inside. I might do this this weekend. Just bought a new chuck so i need to hook that up first.
