Such a beautiful piano, it wouldn't stand a chance against a CO2 laser.

Nice picture, too.

Dude, that's pretty cool how much it lights up all the way around. Was that a timed exposure?

Not exactly too big on directly downloading vids from unknown sites. Youtube would be a better way to do it man.

I'm with ya ApexProxy...didn't even think about it when I was uploading it.

Here's the YouTube link...Green Laser & An Acrylic Piano

...and no, it wasn't time lapse. My buddy and I were pretty shocked how cool it looked. There's minor details, like how it was bouncing around the curve and off the bolts, that aren't apparent in the video. Since then, we've tried various colored LEDs on the end of the acrylic and it looks amazing. We're going to permanently install white LEDs as they had the best punch.

I would probably rig up an RGB array of LEDS and use switches to select the color. That way you can have a different color piano for every song lol.

We thought about that actually and tried a couple of different colors. The plain ole' white LEDs really did look the best. Not to mention, we don't want to clash with the rest of the room, which is heavy on wood tones and blues.

A neutral white would go with just about anything so I guess in that sense white is your best option. Though its not like you couldn't use white as the default and have the ability to switch to a color. I think you would get a lot of reaction out of being able to splash it with color at will.
