Another diode test for y'all! Haven't seen many posts about this diode so decided to test one for myself

This one is nothing too special in terms of power, peaking at just under 7W with TEC cooling to maintain 21C
BUT, with it's amazing divergence, this diode would make an amazing burner!

Could you recommend a 17mm driver that would put about 6w out in a handheld with this diode?
Would a 6v 4a boost driver be to much ?
(The Ali express driver)

I've tried the 5a 3v drivers and I can only get 2.6amps 4.1 volt output (on high)
thats with a with a 6v in voltage
(It's way less with 1 18650)

4A would be fine, I know people who drive diodes way harder, 4.5A is also very common.
I can send you one of these, which was originally designed for 5A, might work for you depending on your heatsinking but no guarantees

Otherwise I'd go for the aliexpress one :)

So I got the 6v 5A (Ali) boost board,
Getting 4.6A at 4.4v
From your chart I should be Hovering around 6 watts with this setup?
Definitely a hand warmer in a c6 host 😅
