Jetlasers GB #3 is CLOSED -

Hak, looks good - got mine, will update soon. Busy weekend and busy week, but have two 3.7v's charging; did try with 3.2s' and youre right, it needs the 3.7's. Not a problem, as I have a few of those.

Will update!

Same here. my batts should be here some time this week. I will let ya know!

AFAIK the Ti pens are on the way and Gray should have the returned 405s and the 445 in hand very soon for adjustment to the focus.

Updates will be posted the day I get any.

thanks for all the consideration about the delays.

Gray is trying very hard to both get us our lasers ASAP and make them the best possible PL-Cs. These(405s & 445s) are the first ones offered by JETLASERS and I understand that adjustments may be necessary.

Gray says that the 532/250 PL-C has undergone some new improvments and thinks all who choose this overspec DPSS laser will be pleased.
They have many in stock ready to go for GB#4.

That is just the one I want :) any idea when we may be able to get #4 going?

I really wish I could answer that. I hope GB#3 will be totally done very soon. We need to give those buyers time to play er... I mean scientifically examine thier new lasers and do some tests/reviews.

Once we get to the selection stage and after that the final list and paying steps things move along fairly fast.

If you are not sure(see the lists) of what is available and the GB price, you need to PM JETLASERS with your questions.

If this is your first GB you may want to do some homework and read the OPs from my earlier GBs-most of that is still the same and read the two threads in the GB board on what is and is not a GB.(very important!!)

Anytime items are shipped from anywhere there is a POSSIBILITY of a problem involving VAT, customs, duty. HL Sec. etc. Every precaution is taken to avoid such snags but in the remote possibility of such-- please know we all share the risk equally.

Luke(Yobresal) paid for FIFTY 532 pens TWO years ago and they finally arrived last week. Customs apparently mis-placed them.

So, GBs are not for everybody. They require faith and patience.

peace---hak <:-)

OK-- today I bought some 3 v primary cr123 batts(not rechargeable) and the will make the 405/800 PL-C lase but it is only putting out 240mWs vs the 750 mWs from the 3.7v 16340s. I erred when I assumed that the 405 would be using 18650s and I posted this error several times. At one time that was the plan at JETL too but 18650s only make 3.6v and more volts was needed. I apoligize for this error . It was not intentional. Sorry for the inconvience. 16340 batteries can be gotten from battery Junction or Lighthound both ship quickly from the USA.

hak

This following is a copypasta from BatteryJunction.
18650 and 16340 batteries can be dangerous, so take care how and where you chargre them and your choice of chargers.
Really appreciate your info on batteries and i would see if we could ship some batteries, 18650s and cr123s(16340) to you for back-up uses separately.
It's really jetlasers' fault to change the battery. Thanks!

sounds cool
Hey Jaxz, i would ask Alex to pay you the rebate very soon.
Hak would handle other rebates, either covering the shipping or paying back. Sure jet lasers need pay back first. Thanks Hak. Thanks Corbin, jedirock and Bobby!

Regarding the ti laser pen, a single 10440 is enough and it takes seconds' warm-up time. 200mw is kinda of pushing the pen hard.

BTW, two non-rechargables AAAs are recommended for the 20mw 635nm. Thanks Udanis.

DHL has come thru for us again. The Tis came this afternoon and the look sweet. They have the ability to run nicely on one 10440 rechargeable or by screwing on the provided extra tube with two AAAs.

Here for you to print out is the data sheet copypasta from JETLASERS-p I added info about polarity. Contact Gray about the duty/rest cycle as ATM I do not know it.

Pics will be added tonight.

Im know you all will be happy with these and compared with the prices other makers charge for Tis.....Oh Wait!!!--for a second I forgot----No others make Ti lasers..

EDIT UPDATE Gray tells me today(Mar 14) that customs China is holding our returned for repair/adjustment package and that JETL MAY have to pay some fees to get it released. They are working on getting it delivered and update will be posted here ASAP>

*******************************************************Metering pics sharroff 650nm/200 and Bobby (417) Jedirocks (102) . New and better primaries may give a higher output. Clearly 3.6 is better than 3.0. Saw smoke fumes from my meters front w/532s.

Whee, my Ti pen finally got here today. Haven't had a chance to fully test it out yet as I'm still at work, but I'll definitely be playing around with it once I get home and doing some power tests with it. First impressions are that it looks great though! And thanks for the extra accessories, hak. That extra mile is a nice touch.

WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!

Great newz Jedi--I was planning a trip to the PO in the morn to see what the deal was.
Since you ordered two lasers and they needed to be shipped to you seperately I did scrimp a tad to save you some $$. thought I had been pound foolish.

Hope to see REVIEW soon.

Any newz on the returned units will be posted asap.

GB#4 will soon be moving to the selection phase.

I still favor the 532/250 only 325$ with many extras and at a dollar a mW a real bargain( yes most were overspec that much).

My review of the 3X (130) and 5X ($150) beam expanders will go up soon. Very nicely made optics with free adapters for PL-C or Ti pens. The 10X will be out soon.

If you are into overkill the 600mW PL-C 532 is a beast. At 680$ this monster is a real magnum of DPSS green.
See Reginas review of hers. Overspec too.

For questions about availibility/prices see the OPs for my JETL GBs- most will be the same- contact Gray Via LPF PM- at JETLASERS(USERNAME).

I must say I never fail to be impressed with, Gray and his bosses at JETLASERS, when it comes to how they do things.

What other company has sent out rebates for paid units before delivery because they turned out to be slightly underspec and then to make sure all are happy give back $20 each so thier local shipping is more than covered.
If you are not sure which one will be the best for you in GB#4 - Gray will be the best source of info.

I pushed him to get the 405 PL-C in GB#3 even though they were basically in R&D. Half of those in GB#3 wanted 405s- given a little time I feel that JETL will make all happy. They are working hard to make the focus better on the returned (3) units.

GB prices are in the link provided in the OP of this thread-any not listed must be cleared by Gray before you can order them.

Professor Who--not sure on yours but I do know that our(mine included) 405s are adjusted- hope to hear from Gray on yours and the projected shipping date on Friday.

thanks for your understanding.

when I get the track # for DHL I will pass it along via PM to all.

Any news on my 445 unit?

Hey man, we've shipped out the returned lasers to our shipping agent yesterday and hope to get the tracking info very soon.

Your 445nm is replaced by a 1w unit, :)

Thanks all for the patience and kindness. At least now the focusing function works well now for all 405nm and 445nms. Though the beam profile far away at default is rectangular big but it can be focused easily close or far from the aperture.

The pricing of 500mw 405nm and 1w 445nm also drop a bit. Hak would update the new pricelist of all PL-Cs(including 808nm, 635nm, 980nm and 1064nm) very soon.

Thanks again to all and sorry again for all the inconvenience.
Have a nice weekend!
Yours sincerely,
Gray

YaY!!!

Well there Ya Go--

I will still inspect and meter like always. Free dual chargers for 16340 batts will be in every box(comp. of Dr Chuck at Aixiz) there is a piece you can put in the charger that allows charging the next smallest size(whatever that is? maybe a rechargable CR 2? does that exist?) I will drop by LightHound on Monday and take a charger with me.....................just measured a CR2 and if you have or get any rechargbles that are 15270s they will fit in it. The PL-C s will ship with glasses and grates as well.
I will be glad to get on wih Gb#4.
Narrow down your choice(s) and get ready to make a final choice. Those unable to get in on it can wait for the next one.

good newz on the lower prices too.
