Is this a good soldering flux?

I know pyro sells some, but I ordered this before I realized it. Anyone have any experience, knowledge or opinion? Thx

P.S. I'm using 60/40 solder FWIW, trying to go for low temp for less stress on components.

Thats NOT Flux. Thats solder paste with flux mixed in.

Try canceling it and order from Jeff. You really don't know what your missing.

His stuff is the best.!!!!!!

I liked his Old Solder flux first until i got his new one in, and let me tell you that stuff right there makes the Best Joints, Tins Wire and makes solder stick to pad's like no other flux i have tried hands down.!

I wont use anything else. Plus Ive tried some of the ones on the bay and the ones i did try all smell funny and leave a burn residue on the boards sometimes. Not to mention it so dang hard to whip off. Almost becomes sticky after.

Yeah FP's flux is great... I use it when my solder joints
are a bit "dry".

Thanks, I ended up ordering 3cc each of pyros flux and some wire from him too. I have LOTS of wire now. I ordered from a board competitor as well, so I'll evaluate the two wires side by side.

I wish someone had a 26AWG COPPER fine stranded wire with silicone insulation, but if it exists, I couldn't find it!

Are these pen type fluxes really Kester 186 flux?

Thread's been dead for almost 1-1/2 years...

Maybe ask the seller.. How would you want us
to test for the exact type chemical composition
of the flux....:thinking:

Yeah, sorry about that.

I bet the seller would claim it's 100% genuine, as any other seller would.

Just wondering if anyone else had experiences with these pen type fluxes.
