No, you'd need to be really close. A direct hit sure, but for a diffuse reflection off of paper or some other matte surface you'd need to be far closer than needed to see it.

Still should always wear the appropriate glasses with 808nm.

But seriously though, class 4's of any wavelength should be kept away from people that are susceptible to misuse.
 
If a friend of mine did that to me, first I'd throttle him 'til he could barely breathe. Then, while he couldn't talk for lack of breath, I'd explain the problem with what he just did, and what would happen if he ever did it again.
