Yes, but which one would suck more, and for what reasons?

Apple's one would probably be better but I wouldn't buy it anyway because everybody would have one! I'd get an RPL and pwn them XD

An Apple pointer would have a soft-grip case that heats up like a son of a bitch, and they'd try and get you to buy Apple batteries for it, It'd work by plugging into an iMac (it explodes if you try to plug into a proper computer) and charges the battery via $50 software (iLaser iPointer iCharging iSoftware) It somehow switches to 100W if you try and use it for presentations without a screen made by Apple, and burns your screen. The diode soon explodes after such incident and you pay $100 to get a guy at Apple to inspect it.  ;D
rofl! that was great!

If it were Microsoft you would have to remove the batts to turn it off because it wouldn't shut down on it's own.
lol thats why you should upgrade to Millenium/XP/Vista Laser edition.

"it is now safe to turn off your laser"

I remember that!! That was on like Win95! The orange text on a black background!

I was a teeny widdle kid back then o.o

Lol, I just remebered that, I think 98 also had it.The microsoft one would make a very annoying beeping noise when you press the button at times when you get a beam error. And in case of mode hopping the beam would just shut down because it has made an illegal operation, but you would have the option to send the error report to microsoft. :P

Microsoft would make a spinoff of the Apple iLaser, and they will mkae it big and bulky just like the zune. It will have the red ring of death when you shine it, so you will have to cough up $75 to get it fixed (or wait till the 4th gen). Prior to that, Bill Gates will say to apple "ha! The iLaser? what a shitty idea!". When it gets tons of buyers, he will be sulking next to his "MicroLaser Version 3.5 Vista Edition". And when you turn it on, it will project a blue screen of death onto the wall.

lol! So we WANT the Microsoft one to fail all the time, so we get the blue beam of death :D

That shouldn't be too hard, Microsoft products tend to break :)

Well, you have to give Microsoft some credit. They made the better Blu-Ray sleds, didn't they? And they pretty much blinded sony in the eye with their sleds so you JERKS (just kidding ;D) could make your blu-ray burner/pointers instead of tearing apart a $300 burner. Haha, ok, i think i went to far...

Back to the point: A blue beam of death would be freakin' awesome!!

lol they didnt make the sled, they just GOT a better one. eh. i wonder if ps3 will come out with an external SUPER BLU-RAY PLAYER lol.

I've always sorta wondered if MS didn't just buy a whole bunch of defective burner diodes which could only be used reliably in readers... they are, after all, some 10x stronger than they need to be.
