It looks like you're getting Google in another language and your computer doesn't have that language set installed.  Based on the "paid" links on the right, I'd say you are getting "Google Japan."  Your address bar probably says "Google.co.jp" Try typing "Google.com" into the address bar and hitting the "go" button.  If it comes up in English, re-save your bookmark for Google.

Looks like your on a different proxy. But if that were the case then your URL would show that it's a different country, and also there would be an option at the bottom saying "click here for google in english"

go into the control panel, go to "regional and language settings", go to the second tab, check the box that says "install support for east asian languages", hit ok, be prepared to insert your windows cd.

If they are all acting this way then either your ISP changed something or someone or some thing got into your computers.

Does the URL indicate that you are on a Japanese website (www.google.co.jp )?

If you're not typing in the .co.jp manually, IDK why but you might be routed through a japanese proxy of some sort... check your firefox settings under Advanced, Network, Connection Settings, and make sure it's set to "No proxy"...

Another thing you can do is go to http://google.com/ncr (the NCR stands for No Country Redirect, so it always brings you to the US google site)

This happened to me before, it was redirecting me to google.co.uk though. So it was still all in english, but the search results weren't the same as for google.com.

Google "thinks" your IP address is in a different country from the one you are actually in.  Read here: http://www.google.com/support/websearch/bin/answer.py?answer=873.  You can let them know that they are incorrectly redirecting your IP address to a different country, as well.  Just look up what your IP address is when it happens, and let them know.

Also, powering off your cable modem (or whatever connection device you have) for long enough to reset your assigned IP address (It's 5 minutes from my cable ISP before it resets the IP for me) can give you a new IP, and the new IP may get directed correctly be google.  

It's a problem for a lot of areas, I think there are actually companies that try to match IP addresses and locations, and sometimes databases can just be wrong.  Let google know your IP address and location, or get a new IP address somehow.  They also give something about cookies on the google page I linked, but I didn't read it all.

Try deleting your cookies and then type in google.com and see if that fixes it. I've had something like this happen to me before and I think this is how I fixed the problem.

Thanks everybody for your help. I have yet to fix the problem. It's easy to switch the google language to work, and Dave, no it's not that jp thing, it looks completely different.

pullbangdead, I did actually reset my wireless guy, because my connection has been so slow lately, couldn't play x-box, watch you tube videos, or even load a page with pictures, made me remember the day of the 56k.

I was thinking that in the same manner this problem came about, I could do the same procedure, by restarting the wireless guy, and seeing what happens. Does it matter I pushed the "reset" button? ;D That probably did it huh. :-/ Well the good news is that my connection has never been faster!
