Yep, I took these out of a "Super Multi-DVD CD Burner" from an HP laptop drive.
The 2 diodes on the left are the ones in question; the one on the very right is a standard 5.6 mm IR diode, not from the drive. It's there for scale/reference.
Rather interesting packages. The left one is 5.6 mm, but it's...weird. Like it's squished. It fits in an aixiz module though!
The other one, the really small one... no idea.
I'm gonna find out tomorrow what speed the drive was. I left it at the computer repair place.
I want to say it was above 20x since the drive was made in 2009. I do remember that much.
