Interested in the new Jetlasers 100mw 473nm PLE pro Mini

Re: Interested in the new Jet lasers 100mw 473nm PLE pro Mini

IFyou want a better deal--give me a group order-pay JL but have them ALL shipped to me in Tx(should be at no cost to us if the order is large enough) and I will reship cheaper and test them for you..
$38 vs $<15--AND if you send me $90 I will include a matching JL 10X BE for Pro PL-E (not the mini--its new& I have not yet seen one)
The Mini BE is cheaper (see price at JL.org) if wanted before order is placed you will at least get cheaper shipping on it.
I also can so a seperate GroupBuy just for the JL mini BEs--let me know.

hak
also keep in mind that JL has the very best customer support.

I like the sound of that. How should i go about this. I already payed for it and the shipping. Should i email Gray and ask about a group buy?

Re: Interested in the new Jet lasers 100mw 473nm PLE pro Mini

Hey Guys, Thanks!!

Radim - In most of my shots the stands, clamps, and whatever else I am using to hold everything together are visible by design. Personally I like seeing all of the stuff in the photos as I will compose with that in mind. I will always take shots more zoomed in hide all of that stuff as much as possible too so I will always have both versions. And when using my 8mm fisheye, everything is in the pic and I have to be careful and make sure I am 100% behind the camera or part of my body will be in the side of the photo.

I photographed three different sets over three weeks using the tubes last month. When putting the tubes behind the glass spheres, amazing pastel colors would appear in very weird shapes because of the tubes being lit up by lasers.
Good approach. And short focal length lens are awesome. 8 mm - that's crazy... Do you have full frame sensor?

No full frame sensor, it converts 1.5 times to 12mm. Minimum focus is like 6", which I will always take advantage of in my shots. It is still fisheye and does fill up the frame with sharp edges if used correctly. Many extra variables to consider when using this lens but the results whether shooting lasers or skyscrapers in NYC it is awesome

Well, still not bad, maybe you could post some skyscapers in some off topic thread. I also have the crop factor of 1.5 for my sensor and lens I use is 18 - 55 mm. Therefore 18 mm and considering crop factor - well it is on the limit what we could call wide angle lens yet.
:D But it is quite good lens. Versatile. However I have some old lenses with various 35 mm film bodies (heritage), so maybe I could try to use them. At least those, where aperture is not controlled electronically. And definitely my next camera will be full frame. ;)

Thanks. The same here. Mine is shipped since 23rd according to their order management, but still no tracking number available. It is always pain to wait for a new laser. :D I had to spend whole Christmass waiting for my 589 nm Spartan, even it was supposed to arrive before. Anyway, it seems it is still in Hong Kong by their shipping agent, hopefully we can get our tracking numbers on Monday (or Sunday - time zones).

I've shipped things many different ways, but not by DHL so far. Every other way I ship gives me a tracking number right away. Is it correct that DHL picks up your shipment and sends you a tracking number some time later on?

I think you get tracking number immediately with DHL as well (even before pick up of package as soon as you order it). I guess it is due to some local agent, who picks up many packages from different businesses and than pass them to DHL at once, this might be way how to reduce cost as the agent does pick up instead of DHL and might have special prices with DHL due to large volumes.

A lot of chinese companies use forwarding as well - they just collect small packages and send them in one large for lower cost to remote location, then they unpack it when it arrives near to the final destination and send small packages separately. Untill the small package is not handled individualy the tracking number stays inactive - that is how it works with WL.

I just try and focus on other things, Like my new LGv20 i just got, What a beast of a phone !!!

Also i think i fixed my lpm. It was giving odd readings and what not and turning off and on. Turns out the lpm was fine but the cable i was using was the issue, I got a better cable and it works great now :) Bring on the 473nm !!!

So do I. :D But still, there is somewhere in my mind the sky beauty is coming. If I only could forget about it untill it arrives. I've read somewhere on LPF you might focus on buying next laser meanwhile. :D

Well, that's a good selection IMO. I keep Sanwu in my mind as well - nice hosts and lenses options. Their 7 W beast also looks interesting, but that beam specs... However my dream is Optotronics new 532 nm RPL II - 1.4+ W for 1.5 K! But I need to wait to raise some funds before and to finish some projects in my work to have the feeling I deserved it and that I can reward myself. :)

I wonder if they do that to try to get by customs. Otherwise, with the government supplementing their shipping costs, I would think it would be more expensive to do it that way.
