I own 2 fog machines purchased at a party supply store. They work great.
Another simple and affordable solution is in your kitchen. Cook some bacon or broil some steak. It smells delicious and provides your whole house with high-tech, non-toxic beam visualizer.
There's nothing like a light show and bacon for breakfast.
