In Stock : 3-3.5Watt 445nm Copper Dominator, 2x26650 blue laser.

Blords creations are a blending of technology and art. Its hard to say where one ends and the other begins. Well done sir! Well done!

Blord,

I am interested in one of your copper creations.

Can you reach out to me via email?

Where in Belgium are you.

Thanks.

Lowered price at $349 !!

I made a special Dominator with a copper heatsink and focus adapter. The 9mm 445nm diode is my best diode in available. ;)
The laser is powered with two 26650 rechargeable li-ion cells. The buck driver is set at 2.4A current. Current draw at the tailcap is 2A. That means with fully charged 26650 cells this beast has a total runtime of two hours.

The copper heatsink is highly polished on the front and the copper focus adapter has a fine matte finish. As you can see in the picture this gives a pleasant contrast between the copper.
The laser with the batteries weight 846 gram. :)
The Dominator laser can now be outfitted with a multimode driver. The modes are 100% / 50% / 10% and flashing. If you don't want the modes the single maximum output is still available.

The specs :

Diode : 445nm 9mm diode
Output diode : over 3000mW
Output buck driver: 2.4A current
Lens : G2
Power supply : 2x 26650 Li-ion rechargeable battery.
Duty cycle : 5min on/ 2min off.

The price is now $349
Registered shipping worldwide is $25

Batteries, chargers and laser goggles are available at extra cost.
See also my other Dominator lasers.
PM if you want one or have any questions.

Thanks for watching ! :yh:

Are they still for sale???

I am looking for something like this. Is still available, or can you build another?

Excuse the shit out of me for causing you to read too many words.

Now how much

1st page, last page, current page, PM's ... like there is a real standard here. Or, wait what YOU set the standard?!?!

Keep your cr@p

Just got mine today, it's an absolute MONSTER!!! Such a flawless beam, very pretty colour. This thing weighs a TON, no wonder the duty cycle is so wonderful.

LICK FOR HIGH RES!

Dropped in a pair of king kongs and took it for a test drive outside, during the daytime, SO bright! Glad I got it with the glasses!!!

One question: After I set the focus perfectly, is there a way to lock it down so it won't change by mistake?

Thanks again :)

(P.S. Looks beautiful at night too!!

What do you mean by "lock it down"? I have a Dominator, and the focus seems pretty stable to me. While the 1W laser I had bought from OdicForce has a focus ring that wobbles around, leading to sudden defocussing as I touch it and cause it to tilt, this does not happen with my Dominator.
If this happens with your Dominator, you could try unscrewing the focus ring and wrapping a couple of turns of thread seal tape around the thread.

Just after transporting it, the focus is usually off. Same with people touching it when it's turned off, the focus turns super easily so it's easy to throw it off :(

EDIT: Haha, it already had tape on the threads! What I might try doing is cutting a "ring" out of aluminum foil and keep layering it up until I get a perfect focus, that way I'll keep the heatsinking properties of the massive copper focus adapter, instead of it "floating" off the top of the head.

A common method is to have a small spring sit under the lens to add resistance to the focusing motion. I've never owned/used a dominator but I'm pretty sure this method should at least have some improvement on the rigidity of the focus.

Or, you could unscrew the lens and adjust it so when the focusing head is fully tightened it will be focused to infinity. Unscrewing it will have the beam focused up close for burning. I have this setting on my groove and really like it, although it depends on how far away the diode face is from the lens itself. Again, never used a dominator so not quite sure if this will work. Hope any of this helps you.

I cut a whole bunch of tinfoil into "doughnut" shapes. It took five of them to make the perfect right screw down in perfect focus! My job is now done, it's perfect :) I can also feel the focus adapter get much hotter than before, so it's for sure helping out heatsinking :)

Love this laser. Now that I got the focus dialed in I'll have to try and bounce it off some clouds and burn some ish up close!
