what power laser was it though ??

it was just under 300mw, but i dont think paying customs charges relates to the power of the laser - its more down to the value of the imported item.
if your laser was valued at say $500, u may have to pay customs charges of around £50.

Ring up Nova and tell them to import it labeled as a

-gift pen
-electrical power supply
-compact torch

etc. I'm sure they have done such dealings before. Don't lie about the value (insurance reasons)

I'm in the UK and last year I bought a RGY Laser show from Laserword in Germany.
It even said on the customs labels that it was a Laser. It arrived safe and sound
with no problems from customs at all. 350mw output too.
Just as well as I paid £400 for it.  :o  But outside on a misty night it looks amazing

nvm my dad says im not to get one now because class IIIB lasers are "illegal" in the uk  :'( so im gonna need to spend £39+ on a <5mW greenie that will probs break in less than a week and which is more than half the price of an x50 from nova  :'( :-/

Buy their True 5mW, or even order the True 30mW and tell your dad it's a 5.

The cost is so low compared to leading brands he wouldn't have any idea.

It's a pretty average laser pen but hundreds of forum members have bought lasers from them.

In terms of price, they can't be beaten.

Make sure the laser you're buying has the marking "True" in the title.

This is a New Wish brand laser and have a reputation for being more reliable.

i dont want to buy a laser from dx because :

1. There is no IR filter
2. Shipping takes too long
3.My dad is using his credit card to pay for it, im just giving him the money ;D so hell know what hes buying
