I make this argument from the premise that geeks seek knowledge and understanding about the world. thats why we love science and math.
Our quest for knowledge is really a yearning for the knowledge of God. A knowledge that religion may not be able to provide. God is described as the infinite light. so we seek out in the physical world a representation of a attribute of God. make any sense?

Instead of making pointless threads, like the mercury one, could you maybe dig that thing called a "brain" out from the bin and USE IT.

i think he was just making a point of how awesome it would be to swim in mercury  ::)[/quote]

Swim? You could almost walk on top of a pool of mercury! Something to try when you're wearing a super-protective suit or you're gonna die soon anyway.

good point, i wouldn't like to dive into it... would break ure nose. ;D

there is a video of a guy in a bath of mercury floating an iron cannon ball.

i cant find it :(

seriously, what have you been smoking?

I'm suspecting MJ. Only thing he could be on and still be coherent enough to type...and the fact that if it was anything else, he would have sold all his electronics to fund the habit.

Probably something in the sativa family.

Whenever i hear people talk about "the light" as a religious deal, I cant help but think of Albert Pike the freemason.

"Lucifer, the Light-Bearer! Strange and mysterious name to give to the Spirit of Darkness! Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! Is it he who bears the light, and with its splendors intolerable blinds feeble, sensual or selfish Souls? Doubt it not!"

LoL

I like how people have near-death experiences and claim they've seen the light. When you get into the ER, it's not uncommon for them to check your eyes using a flashlight. That's not the power of God, it's the power of Maglite.
