how to make laser burn (pics later) (noob here)

so i got this laser pointer but how can i make it burn stuff it dosnt have the thing that u screw on it but it does have a little circuit board stiking out of the laser and this black thing solder on that says 510 i will update later with pics

Well if it has a way to focus it, point it at the object you wish to burn, and focus it to the smallest dot possible.

Also, please make sure to read up laser safety if you haven't already.

its red idk the power but its not more than 5mw i dont think its focusable

Can't burn with anything less than ~70mw really. 5mw isn't going to do squat, any color.

I guess he talks about pot mod .. which generally does not work. So yeah, get different laser. Something like 200mW red .. they are dead cheap these days.

Don't try to potmode this laser or any laser. You'll probably ruin it.
