how to make a white laser

I know many people have probably asked this but what exactly do i need to make one.I'm willing to replace blue with violet.

you need dichros and something to mount the lasers and dichros to so they don't move, then you just need to allign the beams through the dichros so they all overlap

red + green + blue/bluray = white (although it's not truly white)

it appears slightly pink due to my camera (looked better in person) but i did not use dichros, i just pointed the 3 lasers at one spot

if i put 5mw green 10mw blu-ray and 30-40mw of red do i get white.also can you tell me where to get the dichros

you'd probably want to get like a 10mW green and turn the pot down a bit, i was using 10mW of bluray, 5mW of green, and around 70mW of red to make a nice white but i needed more green

The dichros can be bought from http://www.diylasershow.com which is run by a member here (mliptack).
There is a LOT to aligning the dichros and for best results you need 2 dichros and 2 3 axis mounts.

you need a red, green and blue laser to make white.

combine them all with dichro's, into one

you would lose power through the optics

yes you would have a 55mW laser minus losses but you'd need more red and a bit more green to achieve a good white

thats doable.so long as the blu ray is drivin at 38 ma .
