How do I change the lens on this 1W laser?

I've ordered a 1W laser and it'll arrive in a couple of days. I know it's not a great laser but I can't afford a more expensive one. https://www.wish.com/search/1w laser/product/59b912b3f4c4a60a636cb2a5 I've read comments that replacing the lens with m9*0.5 glass lens would improve the performance of the laser. If it is, I have no idea how to do it. I couldn't even find any youtube tutorials. I just don't want to break anything. I'll be glad to hear your suggestions and advice. Thanks in advance.
Btw I'm aware of the dangers this laser poses.

It will likely work, but you linked to a multi element lens AR coated for 405nm. There are many other M9X0.5M lenses available to you that might work better than this one depending on the wavelength of your laser. You can normally remove the lens housing on the front of the laser by unscrewing it. Then you will see the lens inside the front focus knob of your laser. Remember to place your lens notched end into the focus knob and you should be okay.

I believe the laser he linked to is similar to my Thor H from laserpointerstore.com. The lens is not threaded into the host, but is threaded into the focus knob that threads onto the host. If it is the same, these M9X0.5M lenses will fit in the focus knob. If it is a different type laser, then all bets are off until I can see how the focus knob looks after it is removed from the rest of the laser host.

That will work for your WL , looks like a 3 element lens that will give the beam dot better divergence but you will loose some power. A G2 lens will give you more power but the dot size will not be a good as using a 3 element lens.

Thanks for the info. Well I actually just want a lens that would make the laser beam stronger, brighter, more visible from a distance. I found 3 G2 lenses that I could potentially buy. The first one is cheap but someone wrote a review that he got a better one for a buck more. I think you have misunderstood. What we call a G2 lens is a single element, short focal length, aspheric lens in a brass housing. If the housing is black, it is likely a multi element lens. You can increase your power by 25% using a single element aspheric lens. I believe they are going for ~$8.00 each on eBay.

It might be a good idea to get the laser first and get some experience with it before you start changing lenses around.
What laser did you actually buy? Your link goes to a "wish" site where you have to join to see what they offer so the link is meaningless.
Without knowing specifically what you are talking about it is all just conjecture about what might work if. Do you know for certain what lens it comes with and the thread size?

Yeah I think I'll wait until it arrives. There were some comments under a youtube review of the laser that suggested getting m9*0.5 lens for it. Some people tried it and it worked.

Oh, no. Not the gattling laser. That is a tiny host with hollow tubes and very little aluminum mass to heat sink the laser diode. These are often sold for far more than they are worth. You would do much better with a larger mass heat sink. The diodes used for blue are 445nm projectors diodes and some are able to output more than 2 watts of optical power with a single element aspheric lens like the one you linked to. You can find these lenses cheaper than $12, though. I have a 445nm diode I bought brand news several years ago and put it into an MS Envy host. It outputs 2.2 watts of power and has a fairly long run time. If you want a good laser with good specs, this is the way I would go.

The laser arrived yesterday. The laser beam is bright but I'd like it to be brighter if possible. I want the beam to be seen from a few kilometers. So I assume getting the single element M9*0.5 lens would make it more visible. I measured the copper lens holder or how it's called and it measures 9mm in diameter. The actual lens measures 5mm in diameter. It depends on whether the gattling will take that lens or not. That lens is not a waste of $7.00 as it can be used on any number of lasers to get up to 25% more power out. I don't own a gattling host, so I can't speak from experience about which lenses it uses. If you do buy the $7.00 lens, always put the notched side away from the diode. That will make the lens inside the housing closer to the diode as the lens in its housing is at one side of the housing. Even if it doesn't fit this laser, it would be a handy lens to have and may fit many other laser you have or will get.

Gotta question or 3. Is the front of that laser removable? How much working distance does that laser have where the lens is? What is the diameter in millimeters of the aperture?
