Hi,
Thanks guys for pointing out the missing bits of silcon and stuff that I paid for
jayrob,
I had sent him a few emails, and given him chance to respond, before asking paypal to intervene, otherwise, I wouldn't have a go in public.
Re: Possibly not knowing the difference: That could be part of it, as he details a part number "Model: 650nm SF-AW210" for this red diode elsewhere on his site. I beleive the part number is for a 6x blueray diode. It was because I saw that picture of the LOC, along with him describing it as a LOC that I went ahead with the order. I have a degree in electronics, and lots of experience so am well versed, but appreciate most hobbiests dont go that far. It seems like he has a good reputation on here, so I'll wait and hope for something posted on here, or in my mail inbox from him...............
Hey I just saw this thread, niko posted it on my facebook page . I hadn't seen any of the emails from you about the diodes. The red diodes I have in stock right now are from SF-AW210 sleds, they are the red diodes in that sled. I had thought they were long open can but I'll change the sales item page now that I realize they are short open can.
I had tested the diodes and they appeared to have the same electrical properties as the LPC-815 diodes so I didn't update the "20x dvd burner laser diode" page, as I believe these are still 20x dvd burner laser diodes.
I had seen your paypal dispute but not having seen any emails from you about it I had it escalated to a dispute as I was a bit offended of a paypal claim with no emails (as I now know I was mistaken and you had tried). As you found out Paypal doesn't deal with quality of items, just if the item was shipped.
As for the quality of the diodes, I have been training my brother to ship out the SF-AW210 red diodes. The SF-AW210 diodes are a bit harder to harvest and I have a feeling those were a batch from his first 30 or so to harvest. He is getting very good at it now and I trust his skills now.
I'll replace the diodes that you feel were inferior though if you want.. Or just refund your payment for them.
Send me an email to ken1645@gmail.com , this will go straight to my phone's email.
thanks,
Kendall
