Hey guys, what's up? I'm back after a long break...

Hey yah guys, how's things?
Been a while and I've missed everyone.
Had a bit of a break from lasers.
Work and life in general have been keeping me busy and I haven't done any laser work for ages.

How's everyone doing?
I see some amazing Rep numbers around, wow well done guys and well done Curtis for working on these avatars.

I have been busy with my business and also just got over a bout of flu which knocked down the whole family, took me nearly two weeks to get over the flu....

On another note, I've started a new hobby.
I'm getting into Drone flying.
This is on top of my other hobbies of astrophotography and lasers and boy am I hooked.
I've had this DJI Phantom 3 Pro sitting in a box for two years and I finally got it out and setup and am learning to fly.
Wow, it's so addictive and FUN !!!
Scary at first but soon becomes second nature as these DJI drones are soooo easy to fly and are awesome bits of engineering.

I'll try and share some of my adventures as time goes on but just wanted to say how amazing these things are.

So, I'm getting back into the swing of lasers too.
If you remember I still have to finish my Genesis RGB Pointer Project and also I've got some Copper Units from Rich that fit on the Vape bodies which I need to finish.
I've placed an order for two modules from Jordan DTR, one is for my mate GSS - Pete (a 2w M140) and the other is a 465nm NUBM07E for myself.

Drones seem to be so much fun, I don't know if it is a good idea, but I would be so tempted to install a green laser on the drone I could remotely control to see the beam from a distance.

so half ot the 2K and 5K the award ribbon icons are not cut off

I don't know that she ever got the time to get good at flying it, though. I am looking forward to your photos. Maybe you can have some from your drone as the one I got my daughter had a camera on it.

You're not wrong, I had this thing sitting there for a couple of years before I got it up and running.
Now, it's so much fun to fly, I can't believe it took me that long to get started.

I couldn't believe how fast the time's gone by and how long I've been away.
The two new modules should be arriving from Jordan today so hopefully I'll put together the copper builds soon.

Yes, my drone's got a nice 4k camera and the images and video are fantastic.
I've even done a night time astro shot.
Here you can see Scorpius just above the cloud line.

BTW, I fly around at night with the lights on and I do some really tight turns, lifts and descends, don't be surprised if my neighbours report UFOs. :shhh: :crackup:

I would enjoy making people think it was a UFO, that is a contradictory statement coming from me though, I used to get miffed at hoaxers who did that because I believe this is a subject which should be taken more seriously. Have fun with that, the devil in me is smiling.
