That is the one you need although a cheap one, it sounds like your meter is auto ranging.
When you connect your circuit the meter will adjust itself to the input voltage whether the signal is 1mv or 100v.
You should put up a clear picture of your meter's face so that we know what
you have.. there are many different types of meters on the market and we're
just fumbling around in the dark up to this point. :-?
