Help sourcing XML emitter?

yeah i'm sure it will be expensive...but copper PCBs aren't very common so it might be a while until you find anything else. Honestly, I just reflowed my first led this week (made a nichia 219 drop in for another l2p..think i am becoming a tint snob) and it wasn't hard at all. just position it right on the star and put a soldering iron on the back until it reflows. you can find neutral xm-l2s on mouser and is:

and the copper sinkpads that blord linked might be your best (cheapest) bet.

edit: just realized those are 20mm boards. maybe the german site is your best bet if it has to be copper :\

yeah that kinda sucks about the price because just the LED and board cost more then the driver and the host and that includes if i upgrade the bezel to that nice crown one which i did for one so far.

have you looked into any pre-made drop ins? I know they're expensive, but if you're already spending the money anyways, look into nailbender or vinhnguyen54's work on cpf. vinhs are a bit cheaper, and you can customize everything from tint to potting to reflector to current to modes (I like them bc he can include moonlight modes). again, these cost over double what the the host does...but he does very good work
