Help removing green, ebay assasin laser diode?

I have picked at this diode so much to no avail, I want to remove it to see if I can make it more powerful but It won't come off.

And I just got this a couple days ago. It was suppused to be 303 anyways and I got assasin model instead.

Cheaper to just buy an individual diode than to try extracting from a laser

Best to learn the trade before doing anything in it. You probably just want raw power because you saw some dumb youtube video about it. Lasers aren't toys. Please be careful

'303' actually means nothing. like 300/301 etc
Some have been successful in repairing or
'modding' those but..most agree it is better in the long run to make a laser yourself from kit parts.. those cheap greens(532?) have almost no heat sinking. One you make will be better--worth the extra cost and you will know how to repair it.
They are glued very tight and often heat must be used to open --which destroys any parts that you wanted to MYB re-use.
We have great members here who have all you need, and will help you if needed-- that alone is rare.. ( read DTRs tutorials and all you need to know is there--no need to ask the forum..
go to Buy/sell/trade section and read the stickies and the first Threads there are member ads and you can trust them-- The common practice some parts from a seller like DTR and get what elese you need from another seller.. Like LIfetime-- Flamingpryo and others. they alerady have the best deal on your choice of diodes.
The 532nm lasers are DPSS-- so NOT a green diode==lots more help BUT help us to help you and finnish your profile-- to have accurate help we need to know where you are-(diff laws/customs etc)-it is best to also put that in the title of a 'Intro' of yourseld --see the good ones already posted there as a guide.

almost forgot- where or what ever you buy next get eye protection at the same time.. it must be for the 'colors' you plan to use.
VERY cheap compared to eye surgery.. to do otherwise is foolish and safety to the forum is VERY important--good luck hk
