HELP! Beam Splits into 2!!!!!

Self explanitory.... opened up, pot modded it. must have noked something?? I hear these thing are factory focused and ARE possible to refocus...
Btw its the true 100mw from dealextreme :S is there anyway to re-focus it my beam divergence fails naw :(

Hi again, i look up mode hopping. think thats my problem, so it wasnt down to me modding it then?
it looks alot better now anyway i think its to do with the heat because sometimes it looks really bad and sometimes it just looks like a small dot with a big dot around it. anyway i know pot modding is "frowned up on" around here but i wanna learn more about lasers and what better way than ripping one apart... i mean i know there's a 99% im gonna break my first laser by numerus mod attempts but im kool with that its how i learn. so for now i have done a successfull pot mod, next thing i wanna try is to turn up the power? i seen a few thing posted around here saying that you can mod the "driver" to run at 4.5v instead of 3v (or something) i would be greatfull if someone could tell me how you do this. but i kinda think its gonna be a "467 views - 0 replys" situation as people dont seem to like helping someone new (kinda the people who need help most) anyway thanks in advance to anyone who replys

Which is better LPC815 or LOC powerwise and lifewise.

TBH, we see posts like this on a weekly basis, which is why we suggest using the search function, they have been answered ad infinitum, the advice is always the same, there is rarely anything to be gained with pot modding ( I know you are going to say you did it but now you have a laser that mode hops, which in my book makes it an unsuccessful attempt).
You can relpace the 2 X 1.5V batteries with a single 3.6v battery, it may work, it may just overpower the crystal set, so it is up to you, do you feel lucky?
