Hi I am a new comer in the lasering hobby and I seen that I should post somethings about me. I love science and I have a telescope and I like to look a star. I do enjoy flying.

Thanks for introducing yourself! Give the forums a read and you'll find enough information to build small laser pointers and massive laser arrays alike. But since (I assume based on your other thread) you are planning on working with the BDR-209, I'd recommend buying your driver premade from a reputable source as those things are too sensitive for a simple AMC7135 driver and a LM317 one would be too bulky (since you'd need to somehow heatsink it) to fit nicely into a pointer

Try https://www.survivallaser.com/Diode_Drivers/cat556089_1450482.aspx

Or if you are extra paranoid (rightfully so with that diode) and want a soft-starting driver, I have a couple of 22mm circular ones (outputting 700mA or 1200mA regulated) with soft start that I'd be willing to part ways with for a small price (DM me if interested)

How old are you? What Country are you in?
In your post you say Star scout", Maximum age for "scout" levels you mention is 18, so am guesing you are a child.

Are you aware that to be a member you have to agree to the Terms of Service which state you must be the age of majority--in USA that is 18 years old or older?
Terms of Service say:
"3. Eligibility
You must be the age of majority as that is defined in your jurisdiction to visit or use the Website in any manner. You represent and warrant to Laser Pointer Forums that You have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and that You have the right, authority and capacity to agree to and abide by this Agreement. You also represent and warrant to Laser Pointer Forums that You will use the Website in a manner consistent with any and all applicable laws and regulations."

From your posts and lack of English language skills + maximum age for "scout" levels you mention is 18 so am guesing you are a child.

Bruh we have a few notable members (won't mention their names since I don't want to drag them into this) who are under the age of majority in their juristicion...

Those terms you posted are just a general catch-all in case some dummy decides to try and sue LPF for some reason

Furthermore we have no reason to believe that this member is under the age of majority, as far as I'm concerned they might be a 60 yo man with poor English skills

Hi thank you for your response but I have my fathers permission and he has access to what I see and do. Also there is some information I don't want to give out. Sorry of that's bad but I want some privacy. Also in Terms of service it says-
Harvest or collect information about visitors to or members of the Website without their express consent.

Hi I got a driver from survival lasers and on the site where I got my diode it recommend a 500mA output and a 600mA max so I got a 520mA driver

There is no "we".
"no reason, to believe....." . It is widely known common knowledge that the age limit for "scouts" is 18. Not exactly "no reason", except to you. So the comment is saying the OP could be the only 60 year old active "Star Scout" in the Boy Scouts which has an age limit of 18 years old. lol
Saying TOS doesn't matter and that you are OK with, and imagine LPF should be OK with, encouraging and teaching minors how to make dangerous laser pointers that can easily cause permanent eye damage and/or blind them as well as other people in less than 0.25 seconds is equally silly as well as irresponsible for several real reasons.

Hi thank you for your response but I have my fathers permission and he has access to what I see and do.
Thanks. That a parent knows and approves is a good thing and not always the case.

Welcome and enjoy the forum.

A 900mW 405nm laser is very dangerous.
Accidental eye damage happens so fast that is can not be corrected for when in progress---less than the 0.25 seconds blink reflex time. See: https://laserpointerforums.com/threads/hit-in-eye-with-1000mw-445nm-blue-laser.69469/
See also: https://www.lasersafetyfacts.com/4/

Be very careful, be sure to get and use laser safety goggles/glasses and read up on laser safety and safe use. Mentioned same on your other welcome thread as well. See: https://www.laserpointersafety.com/

I never said I was okay with minors being a part of LPF, but the OP just verified they are a minor (after I posted) joining with the consent of their parent. I'm not a lawyer, let the admins make their own judgement on how to proceed
