Hello, I'm new

Hey! Someone told me I should introduce myself in the welcome section....

I currently have one 200mw green laser, and I plan to get more once I get some good goggles, and money

I am very interested in DIY lasers, especially unique ones (like diodes put in guns and stuff like that). If anyone has any tips about DIY lasering, let me know. :thanks: Also, I'd really love to see any videos/posts about projects.

I have read a whole buttload about lasers, and I think I have a decent amount of knowledge.

Someone help me with links (Not eBay preferably) for....
Lasers drivers
Laser diodes (high power, NOT IR)
Low-power UV laser
Laser warning sign (for my bedroom door xD)

Thanks for reading, and for any help. I hope to be a part of the community, and I look forward to learning more about lasers.

And just because I'm curious, what's your favorite color of laser?

Hello TwistedLight, welcome to the forums!

Unfortunately I won't be able to give you too much info for purchasing those parts (since I'm pretty new myself) however if you search it, I'm sure you'll get some answers.

Favourite colour of laser is probably green (only one I have) although I'd like to get a yellow one day

Also, make sure you get yourself some safety goggles if you haven't already.

Welcome I hope your not using that laser inside without goggles :tsk: You can get good green module's from fasttech, high powered diodes from DTR, laser driver's from moh or lazeerer and if you mean low powered UV laser as in 405nm (almost UV) you can just get a 5mW pen off ebay because they are normally about 50mW. As for the laser warning poster, i dont know. I am not sure what my favourite colour is... oh wait, IT'S ALL OF THEM!!!

Thanks, lasersbee. I know how bad wicked lasers is. Thanks for showing the six ways to not get scammed, I read that through. I'm getting some high quality goggles in the near future.
