Here goes post #1.

I'll admit when I first started reading this forum, my expectation was the usual "I just want to start **** on fire!" After going through a few threads, I realized I was missing about 99.999999% of the information that I really needed. :D

The reason I ended up on this forum is because I found a laser (to which I found to be a lot more powerful than I originally thought as it has a key lock on the end-cap. I played with it for a while, my friends came over, and we pretty much just ran it until the battery died. I was looking for a new battery for it, and ran across this site.

After looking around, not only am I gaining a respect for what lasers are capable of (and how stupid we were for playing "tag" with this bright green laser...), but I'm actually getting into the research aspect of everything, and am pretty eager to learn about, experiment with, and hopefully one day, build my own. Of course, that's a good way's off, money and/or time wouldn't allow that right now. :cryyy:

And thank God I read stickey's before I post anything. I'll be sure not to "kick my shoes off" right away. I know where that leads... :cryyy:

Everyone have a good day, and thanks for having me! I look forward to being part of the community!

I did not, instead I learned that reading what's on the battery is a good idea. It's an UltraFire LC18650 3.7V, and is rechargeable. Thank god I decided to bring it into work to look it up instead of throwing it out.:wtf:

I'll have to order a charger, and may get another battery anyway. But I would like to post a picture of it later and see if anyone can tell me what this laser is... I couldn't find a name on it anywhere, but I did find it on ebay.

Military 5mw Green Laser

From what I've seen on here so far, and I may be wrong, but this isn't a 5mw?

I'm still doing some looking around, but at work, it's kind of hard to keep my eyes here and on my work at the same time. :shhh:

Welcome to the forum!

Search first, ask questions later! Look in the eBay section for more info about eBay pens.
