I'm Chris in Fort Worth. I registered here to see the pics and attachments better on this site as I research. I'm a 52 year old welder/art maker, obsessive compulsive, perfectionist type of guy. I'm a firearm collector, shooter, and ammunition handloader, so yes, I take safety precautions seriously. A work buddy has been collecting a bunch of LED flashlights lately and another co-worker brought in a blue laser that he borrowed from a neighbor to show off. It is flashlight sized and very bright. It caught a sheet of yellow legal pad notebook paper on fire in about a second or two. I don't know exactly what model it is, but it has a blue sticker on it that says 5000mw 450nm and I saw one just like it on LaserPointerPro for $139. It sparked my curiosity, the reserch began, and I've been lurking here for weeks. Now, I want a hot little pocket burner. The Sanwu Challenger 2 or the Silver has my attention as well. I'm also interested in building one or two. I'm starting to feel about $500 trying to squirm away as I stand on this cliff edge. Or maybe, I'll just come to my senses and forget about it. I really appreciate all the knowledge you guys provide here.

Forget laser pointer pro --- they misrepresent/fraudlently present, everything on their site + is all overpriced for what it really is

I know I responded last Friday, but my post seems to have disappeared. Hmm. Yes, I've seen the light about laserpointerpro thanks to you guys. I also appreciate the packages put together by Jetlasers. My simple minded attraction to shiny things has shifted a little for the better. I think a build right off the bat is the way to go. Back to searching. Thank you guys for responding.

Welcome to LPF great to have you with us. Ok forget about Laser pointer pro they are not pro but conmen. They produce garbage and are over priced. Thet lie about total output to sell to unaware folks starting out in the hobby. Run away fast and save your hard earned cash for a reliable laser company. You come to the right place for info on the right choices.
