Hi Everyone

My name is Andrew but you can call me Pickle. I have been interested in lasers for over a year, and I began that interest with cheap red lasers, unfortunately they were confiscated in school... I looked into it a bit more, and I eventually settled on a green Deal Extreme 5mW with the knowledge that green lasers don't always burn and you can blink before 5mW kills your eyes. What a noob I was.

I'm slowly learning more about lasers and since a silly friend broke Ol' Faithful (and ol' fatal with that Infrared :P) I ordered a Wicked Lasers Core, hearing good things. Only afterwards I hear bad things, mainly about shipping. However, I have a tracking number after 4 days and It should be here only 9 days after ordering. Still got customs to go through, but my only experiences there (Two small overseas orders) has been fine.

Anyway, I'm just a normal student with a new hobby, and I hope to learn more here :)

Gday from across the puddle!

yeah we're a friendly bunch here - like Lasersbee said, get some saftey glasses before you get anything more powerful.

I dont have any, but I dont have any lasers either - I gave my last pair away when I sold my last pointer. Once I start working on my projector again though, I'll be getting a couple of pairs to cover its wavelengths. Remember, you only get one set of eyeballs :)
