Hi to all on LPF, my name is Stephen and I am from the UK, and I've finally come to say hello after lurking and reading for a while.
Just recently got into lasers and now I'm getting quite hooked. I did electronics at school and got my O level back at the beginning of the eighties and over the years I've dabbled in minor electrical projects from time to time. Now having purchased a couple of pointers off Ebay I thought it would be quite fun to build one or two. I think this forum is excellent, with plenty of information and lots of knowledgeable people and I am glad to be a member.
Best Wishes to all
Stephen

Thank you for all your kind words. I shall start ploughing through the links you've provided for me especially focusing on the safety aspect. There's plenty of information to get through.

Also I've just taken delivery of my first OdicForce kit to assemble, this was a very simple one to get me started. It was just a matter of inserting the 532nm 30mW module into the waterproof host, putting in a battery and it worked straight away. It's a very nice laser..

Best Wishes All,,,

Stephen..

You sound a lot like me ;) ive just started getting into attempting builds myself. Im sure you already know but a member called Jayrob has an excellent selection of awesome laser kits and builds.

I wish you luck on your laser future

Thanks Bounty,
Yes I think it's just a matter of taking it easy and learn as you go. I have seen some of Jayrobs tutorial and build projects and they are really interesting and intuitive.
