hey guys.
as you may or not know i am building a blu ray soon from phr-803t sled. all ordered from hightechdealz.com
i am fitting the diode into a aixiz module and i just contacted my grandad who is machining me a heatsink(he is scientist) and told him the measurements i needed and a hole in the middle of the sink to slide my aixiz into. so is that what i do place my heatsink around my aixiz module?

You should also have a setscrew to keep the module in place
 
ok do u mean like a grub screw? from the side so it touches the module?

lol. they have gold. they use it to calibrate thermocouples. exept to get to it i have to break throug a tonne of metal and 1000 degrees temp shouldnt be to hard ;)
 
No kidding. Diamond would be the best as it has the highest or fastest transfer of heat ;)
That is actully a test that is done to cut Gem Diamonds to check to see if they are real.
I use a heatsink compound in some of my laser builds that has diamonds in it ;)
Gold or silver will work just fine if you can't find any Diamond...

wel diamond is an allotrope of carbon and graphite why not use those??
 
lol ok i was wrong grrrr.
ok i have desiced to get my granddad to machine me a host and heatsink. i need you help though. can someone show me the bluprint to a host i can make.
