Have you ever been trusted with BIG news and been asked to keep it on the DL until the person is ready to unveil the news? I know everyone has probably been trusted with something at one point or another but I'm talking about BIG BIG BIG news or game changing news! Personally Ive been trusted with a ton of news (both big and small) and luckily for the person trusting in me, Ive never broken my promise to them!
What news have you been trusted with keeping on the DL (if you are still required to keep it on the DL then you can omit the news, I understand). Im assuming a few people will answer along the lines of expecting a child or wedding proposal but I am still interested to know.
PLEASE DONT SPILL THE BEANS IF YOU ARE KEEPING A SECRET STILL!!!! If you do spill then shame on you and its your own fault!
Ill start off with something silly but was kind of funny in the end. My current girlfriend Ashley (whom I love with all my heart and will one day marry), didn't start off the way we planned. She was my freshman roommates (Tom) good friend and he liked her a bunch, I mean a TON. Well long story short, she liked him a few years before that, he couldn't take the hint, she was kind of over him at this point and I ended up "stealing" her from him. We secretly dated behind his back (even though we lived together and she came over often) for roughly 3-4 months. She was going to Tampa for college (1 year younger than me) and didn't want a boyfriend due to having to leave so I man'ed up and transferred so we could stay together. About 4 months after we started dating behind Tom's back, he said something along the lines of "dude I'm done chasing Ashley, she just doesn't want me." Gave it about a week or two and then we spilled the beans. Luckily for me, Tom is a cool guy and he understood. Til this day we are still good friends and its been 4 years
Call me a hopeless romantic (although I'm not hopeless since I found love) or whatever but when you find true love, you don't let her go, even if it means being "wifed up" in college.
Your turn! If this thread gets rolling ill start telling some more of my secrets (that I can now tell)
Thanks for reading
