Modulation requires additional circuitry and I don't see much circuitry on the module.

Cool thread, these projectors look like little treasure chests

So if that blue adjusts with temperature, normally with the 635 diodes or alike it's cooling them to get them to a more visible wavelength, with these blues they'll get brighter/cooler with heat as the wavelength shifts
