We bought our own frozen Margirita machine after renting them for years-- the following year they banned them, but said we could have a'Blender' so we found this one for $600-- hold 4 gallons , has a 1.5 hp motor and tilts-- make frozen drinks in minutes instead of hours,

Very nice. I've never been to a big cookoff but I'd really like to go.

I'm a big fan of vinegar- and mustard-based sauces, but not so much ketchup. Strange because I'm from Virginia. :p

Up here, no one likes vinegar in BBQ, just sugar, ketchup and artificial smoke :-(
In fact, most call grilling BBQ !!!!

BBQ sauce is not really very popular at cook-offs by the cookers in fact it is verbotten on any meat turned in. We do put some on some of our ribs and briskets while they cook but it is not allowed to slather any on when turning in meat for competition. I like it tho-- all kinds-- some homemade sauces I have tried are very tasty. We go thru a few gallons on our food line every year. I think we buy Cattlemans.
